Born and raised in Dewitt, Michigan, Nick Wey is a well-respected retired motocross and Supercross racer that has transitioned into coaching and training current day professional racers all while raising his own family of racers in Southern California’s motocross mecca. Overcoming the less-than-ideal frigid winters of Michigan, Nick’s persistence and natural bike skills allowed him to burst onto the amateur scene earning success and industry attention in spite of forced winters off due to the cold temperatures. The 1998 AMA Rookie of the Year and founder of the well-known “Mafia Moto Crew”, Nick is the proud son of Michigan and continues to represent his home state well.
With a career spanning well over a decade, competing against some of the sport’s legends like James Stewart, Ricky Carmichael, and Chad Reed, Nick’s credentials and respect within the sport are immediately vouched by anyone you can find to ask. Joining the ARMA team, Nick is inspired to continue teaching the next generation of the sport of motocross and Supercross while helping his own kids pursue their racing dreams. Currently working with Monster Energy/Pro Circuit/Kawasaki’s Adam Cianciarulo, the two are on the hunt for both the 2019 Monster Energy Supercross Series and Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championships.
