Throughout the decades of American motocross competition, the sport has consistently been gifted with the talents of riders who’ve made up a class of riders simply known as “The Michigan Mafia”. Nick Wey is unquestionably one of the esteemed group’s most successful members. After winning eight AMA amateur titles, Nick started off his successful Pro career by winning the coveted AMA Rookie of the Year award in 1998. Up until he retired in 2016, Nick competed in races around the globe and was a consistent front runner in the AMA Supercross series with a trio of top five overall finishes. Overall, Nick Wey took his place behind a pro starting gate over 380 times!
